About Me

I'm 57 years old, and I saw my first Red Sox game at Fenway around 1959 or 1960. I guess that means I've been a paying customer for 50 years now.

I sit in grandstand section 15, thus the screen name. I've had seats in that section for 21 years.

I'm a member of The Lost Nation, which is an active online group. Also the BoSox Club, which is the official booster club of the Red Sox (www.bosoxclub.com), RSN online -- where my name is also section15. I've had a weekly date with my wife at Fenway since 1972.

I ran for RSN President in 2007, and made it into the top 25 but not to the top 10. Still, the campaign was a lot of fun and we made a lot of new friends. Getting to chat with Sox officials, including Larry Lucchino, was a highlight of the campaign, and we were fortunate to be able to invite friends to the reception.

Joan and I just celebrated our daughter's wedding .. on October 11. Joan and I have had our "weekly date" at Fenway for all of those years, and it's VERY special when we can keep that date through most of October!

Always happy to chat .... and hope to meet some of you at Fenway Park this year. We also like to know of other Sawxheads up in the hinterlands of Haverhill / Bradford / North Andover / etc.... make yourselves known! We live in Bradford, and always like to know our neighbors!

		I am unsure whether you enjoyed it or not. As far as referring to him as a regular working man,- in his own words from an excerpt from a book I referenced for this: "After I finished playing major league baseball, I went back to California, went back to being a regular working man. I worked for the school district in Berkeley. I coached the baseball team for about 25 years, taught math for awhile. And then I did a lot of nothing". Thanks for the additional info.
